Fantastic hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. Will stay there again if we find ourselves back in Milwaukee.

I absolutely adore this hotel! From the check-in where they were able to allow us early check-in, to their help with parking and a bad key, every single employee we encountered was absolutely exceptional. We had drinks in the lobby bar and a lunch at The Cafe, excellent. Although we did not eat at the Mason St Grill restaurant in the hotel, we did go to Zarletti's Italian restaurant located just half a block from the Pfister, one of the best meals we have had on this roadtrip. Also enjoyed going to the swimming pool on the 23rd floor of the hotel, and the Milwaukee Art Museum which is just a short walk away on the lakeshore. The interior of the lobby is decorated with lavish artwork, and they have a large collection of Victorian paintings. For a hotel that has been in continuous operation since 1893, this is definitely a grande dame of Milwaukee hotels. The room itself was very well furnished, and the beds were comfortable. If we ever find ourselves in Milwaukee again, we would definitely try to book a room here, an exceptional experience.

We arrived late after our wedding and were greeted very negatively by the valet and front desk person. Room coffee only had one coffee pod, atmosphere of the hotel is dark and dingey. We ride Harleys and appreciate the attempt at decor but it's not an uplifting place to stay.
